So I don't understand the entirety of it still, but the idea I'm getting is that, like - apparently their fathers went to war against each other and for some reason the only way the war can officially end, which I guess also breaks the curse and saves the world, is when one of their kingdoms definitively wins by ending one of their bloodlines...?

I don't know if the bloodline thing is spot on, but apparently the curse ends when the war does and that's the only way to end the war, so like... It would make sense all put together?
